I have come to find that when you love someone unconditionally, with no strings attached, no falsehood or insecurity, there is no need to be in a "relationship" with them even if you would love them enough to marry them. It's not the relationship they want after all -- it's all about making the person you love happy and having them a part of your life. You aren't tied down to sex or romance that sometimes only last for a certain while before they fade away and you start wanting something different that they could not give you. Unconditional love is far deeper than that, even if it does involve romance and sex.
