I think it's important that we all learn how to do some (if not most) things ourselves rather than have someone else do it for us.
BUT I must remind everyone this does not put so much attention on people who have problems with it, such as autistic individuals, for they also have and can learn life-skills! For those who have autism, it is sometimes difficult for someone on the lower spectrum to function on their own. I want them to be provided all the help they need and encourage them to live life of their own ^^
Now, I have much higher expectations for the people that have almost all the means of mentally and physically being able to support themselves without help. Not only them, but I expect that the people who raised them has taught them all the lifeskills they think they need to survive in the future when they are grown up.
You can tell alot about someone's maturity level concerning how they react towards such skills and whether or not they are willing to engage in them.
Note: this stamp was created by someone who didn't have anyone reliable in her childhood to teach her most of life skills and is currently being taught and at the same time teaching herself.
